Health Benefits From Using CBD Oil

If you have chronic pain, anxiety or other disorders, you likely have tried everything to relieve the day in, day out suffering or stress and have watched with interest as cannabidiol has become legal in certain areas throughout the United States.
CBD hemp oil, is federally legal throughout the United States since the passing of the Farm Bill in 2018, which removed hemp (but not marijuana) from the list of Schedule I drugs, which are drugs without proven medical use that have a potential for abuse. CBD oil products are available without prescription.
“Cannabidiol is extracted from the flowers and buds of hemp plants,” according to WebMD. “It does not produce intoxication; marijuana’s ‘high’ is caused by the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In some types of CBD oil, there may be small amounts of THC present, but the right ratio of CBD to THC prevents the psychoactive side effects.”
Research into CBD’s effects is ongoing, and science has only scratched the surface of possible medical benefits. Here are some of the verified health benefits of CBD oil.

Pain relief

Patients with chronic illnesses may find pain relief through carefully controlled dosages of CBD oil. The Journal of Pain Research reports that, in 15 of 18 trials, cannabinoids demonstrated a stronger pain relief effect than the placebo.
“There is evidence that cannabinoids are safe and modestly effective in neuropathic pain and also for relieving pain in patients with malignant diseases,” researchers wrote. “The proportion of ‘responders’ (patients who at the end of two weeks of treatment reported greater than or equal to 30% reduction in pain intensity) . . . was 43% in comparison with placebo (21%).” What makes CBD oil especially attractive if you suffer from chronic pain is that it is non-psychoactive.

Social anxiety disorder treatment

People who have a difficult time in their social lives because of SAD could benefit from CBD oil. The Neuropsychopharmacology journal published research that shows CBD reduces anxiety in both humans and animals. In a small study, participants received either a single dose of CBD or a placebo before participating in a public speaking test.
“Pretreatment with CBD significantly reduced anxiety, cognitive impairment and discomfort in their anticipatory speech,” according to the study.

Treatment for epilepsy

The FDA approved the first CBD prescription drug in June 2018: Epidiolex is an oral medication that treats seizures in two forms of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome.
These rare and severe syndromes were previously considered difficult, if not impossible, to treat with existing seizure medications.

Other possible treatments

Research into possible CBD oil treatments for patients with additional chronic conditions shows promising results.
Several studies have found that CBD oil can give pain relief to arthritis sufferers and cancer patients and treats insomnia, according to Healthline. Many studies have already found links to pain relief in mice and rats, and additional studies in humans are ongoing.
In the meantime, with few side effects and no risk of developing dependence, CBD oil is a pain relief option that outshines opioid medicines for chronic pain.

What Is CBD Part 3

HOW DOES CBD WORK?

CBD and THC interact with our bodies in a variety of ways. One of the main ways they impact us is by mimicking and augmenting the effects of the compounds in our bodies called “endogenous cannabinoids” - so named because of their similarity to the compounds found in the cannabis plant. These “endocannabinoids” are part of a regulatory system called the “endocannabinoid system”.
The discovery of the endocannabinoid system has significantly advanced our understanding of health and disease. It has major implications for nearly every area of medical science and helps to explain how and why CBD and THC are such versatile compounds – and why cannabis is such a widely consumed mood-altering plant, despite its illegal status.
Image
The endocannabinoid system plays a crucial role in regulating a broad range of physiological processes that affect our everyday experience – our mood, our energy level, our intestinal fortitude, immune activity, blood pressure, bone density, glucose metabolism, how we experience pain, stress, hunger, and more.
What happens if the endocannabinoid system doesn’t function properly? What are the consequences of a chronically deficient or overactive endocannabinoid system?
In a word, disease.
Cutting-edge science has shown that the endocannabinoid system is dysregulated in nearly all pathological conditions. Thus, it stands to reason that “modulating endocannabinoid system activity may have therapeutic potential in almost all diseases affecting humans,” as Pal Pacher and George Kunos, scientists with the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), suggested in a 2014 publication.
By modulating the endocannabinoid system and enhancing endocannabinoid tone, CBD and THC can slow – or in some cases stop – disease progression.

CBD: THE MULTIPURPOSE MOLECULE

Many people are seeking alternatives to pharmaceuticals with harsh side effects – medicine more in synch with natural processes. By tapping into how we function biologically on a deep level, CBD can provide relief for chronic painanxietyinflammationdepression and many other conditions.
Extensive scientific research – much of it sponsored by the U.S. government – and mounting anecdotal accounts from patients and physicians highlight CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of maladies, including (but not limited to):
CBD has proven neuroprotective effects and its anti-cancer properties are being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere. A 2010 brain cancer study by California scientists found that CBD “enhances the inhibitory effects of THC on human glioblastoma cell proliferation and survival.” This means that CBD makes THC even more potent as an anticancer substance. Also in 2010, German researchers reported that CBD stimulates neurogenesis, the growth of new brain cells, in adult mammals.

What is CBD Part 1

WHAT I?

INTRO TO CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. Today the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non-addictive substanceCBD is one of more than a hundred “phytocannabinoids,” which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile.
CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. These are the two components of cannabis that have been most studied by scientists.
Both CBD and THC have significant therapeutic attributes. But unlike THCCBD does not make a person feel “stoned” or intoxicated. That’s because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body.
CBD can actually lessen or neutralize the psychoactive effects of THC, depending on how much of each compound is consumed. Many people want the health benefits of cannabis without the high – or with less of a high.
The fact that CBD is therapeutically potent as well as non-intoxicating, and easy to take as a CBD oil, makes it an appealing treatment option for those who are cautious about trying cannabis for the first time.

Should You Try CBD Hemp Oil?

Did you know that a study, in 2015, found that nearly 50 percent of CBD products sold tested negative for CBD; another, more recent study, found that nearly 70 percent of online CBD products were mislabeled.

And that’s why the entrance of a reputable company like Zurvita into the CBD market is significant. Many people feel that if they’re going to try a new product like this, the safest thing to do is go with a company they trust. Zurvita's new Z-Blends CBD oils make it possible to do that.
My personal experience with Z-Blends after just a short time (actually my first 2 days) I found my neck and back pain were noticeably reduced. I have pain in my hands upon waking up in the morning. My right hand is virtually pain free and the left has been reduced by quite a bit.

In my humble opinion, I say there’s virtually no downside to trying CBD oil if for no other reason than its proven ability to reduce pain and inflammation.
Remember, virtually every degenerative disease we know has an inflammatory component, and CBD is a known and established anti-inflammatory.

The big question is, "Will it help my golf game" Only time will tell!!

The Benefits of CBD Hemp Oil

The 7 Proven Health Benefits Of CBD Oil

CBD oil has seen a spike in interest in the recent past. As this hype continues to grow, you might have become curious about the benefits of the oil. Although the use of medical marijuana is still a politically and emotionally charged topic, research shows that there may be huge benefits of the CBD oil. Most people around the world are beginning to take note since there is evidence to back up the claims about the benefits.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD is a compound present in marijuana; it is part of a family of compounds called cannabinoids. Until recently, THC, which is the psychoactive compound in cannabis, received most of the attention. According to a study published in 2013, CBD has various health benefits and no psychoactive effects.
These benefits include:

Pain Relief

Pain relief is amongst the top benefits of using CBD oil. It is amongst the main reasons people are paying attention to this oil. Evidence suggests that high-quality CBD oil can inhibit the neural transmission of pain. As a result, the person can relax without the need to consume large amounts of pain medication. A study on rodents found that it offers pain relief without causing analgesic tolerance. The oil could be a useful therapeutic compound for helping those with chronic pain to cope. An analysis conducted in 2007 in Canada found that it was effective in offering pain relief for patients with multiple sclerosis. (MORE)

CBD Is The Best Anti-Inflammatory, Anti-Cancer, Anti-Anxiety Superfood You're Not Eating

More people in the wellness world are turning to CBD for its powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety effects, but just as many are confused about the nature of the compound. The basics are simple enough: CBD is derived from hemp and marijuana plants, but unlike THC, it's completely non-psychoactive (meaning it won't make you high). Years ago, the therapeutic properties of CBD were brought to light when a little girl, Charlotte, went from having hundreds of seizures a week to virtually none after dosing with the substance. It's since gained a cult following, with thousands of parents taking medical tourism trips to Colorado to experiment with the plant's healing powers.
Recently, though, CBD has exploded onto the scene, transcending the world of the seriously ill to the wider sphere of people who just want to feel better(MORE)

CBD Helps Relieve Anxiety Without The High

CBD could treat alcohol abuse, drug addiction, and PTSD symptoms

A cannabis extract is drawing increasing attention for providing some of the benefits of marijuana without the high that accompanies the drug. National Public Radio report states that cannabidiol (CBD) could offer a safe and effective way to reduce anxiety, drug addiction, and other disorders.

While it is derived from the cannabis plant, CBD does not contain the psychoactive ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It will not alter the user’s mind.

In states that have legalized marijuana for recreational or medicinal uses, people are trying out various CBD products for stress relief and relaxation. Products include capsules and liquid oil. The CBD industry has grown alongside its parent market. Americans bought $100 million worth of CBD products in 2016, and that amount has doubled by 2018.

Yet many people are unclear or mistaken about the effects of CBD and how it achieves those effects. Researchers are working to determine the extract’s exact properties. (Research: CBD oil: A miracle oil that relieves anxiety without causing a high.) (MORE)

CBD Oil: Does It Work For Pain Relief?

Cannabidiol - also known as CBD - is currently taking the UK by storm, thanks to its wealth of health benefits. One of these is pain relief: studies have shown that CBD can reduce the discomfort related to a variety of health conditions.
But can CBD oil really alleviate pain and if so, how does it work? We speak to medical nutritionist and health author Dr Sarah Brewer about the efficacy of Cannabidiol.

Can CBD oil be used for pain relief?

Ultimately, the answer is yes. CBD is an option for many pain sufferers to help relieve their symptoms, due to its antioxidant properties.
‘CBD oil is one of the most helpful supplements to become available in a long time,’ says Dr Brewer. ‘It is highly antioxidant so has anti-inflammatory effects on joints, to improve pain and stiffness. CBD also has an analgesic effect to reduce pain perception in the brain.’

How does CBD oil work?

Cannabidiol is extracted from industrial hemp plants that do not contain significant amounts of the psychoactive substance (THC or tetrahydrocannabinol) found in marijuana strains of cannabis. CBD therefore provides health benefits without causing a ‘high’ and is not addictive.
CBD oil has an analgesic effect to reduce pain perception in the brain.
‘Cannabidiol oil has direct effects on the endocannabinoid system in the brain,’ says Dr Brewer. ‘This enhances the effects of other brain chemicals, such as serotonin and anandamide, to reduce pain perception.’
‘It is also a powerful antioxidant which suppresses inflammation,’ Dr Brewer adds. (MORE)

CBD Goes Mainstream:

CR surveyed more than one thousand CBD users nationwide to find out whether it’s changing their lives—and how

A mother uses CBD to treat her son’s seizures. A veteran hopes it will help her wean off opioids. A dietitian says it helps her sleep through the night. Even a pet owner uses it to calm his anxious Saint Bernard. These are just some of the estimated 64 million Americans who have tried CBD, or cannabidiol, in the past 24 months, according to a January 2019 nationally representative Consumer Reports survey of more than 4,000 Americans.
The survey found that more than a quarter of people in the U.S. say they’ve tried CBD—a compound in marijuana and hemp that doesn’t get you “high”—for a slew of mental and physical reasons. One out of 7 of those people said they use it every day.
Americans of all ages are using it, too. It’s most popular among people in their 20s, with 40 percent of them saying they have tried CBD. But so have 15 percent of people 60 and older. And our survey respondents also said it helped. Most of those who tried CBD reported that it was effective, especially among those who used it for anxiety. In some cases, they said CBD allowed them to eliminate over-the-counter or prescription drugs, including opioids. (MORE)

CBD Lures Stressed-Out Parents Looking to Unwind

Caught in the churn of long days and sleepless nights, some parents have found solace in a nonintoxicating chemical derived from hemp. But is it safe?

Mother’s little helpersWine o’clockSleeping pills. Parents have long relied on a variety of chemicals to help them get through the day.
But modern-day expectations — along with the pressures of balancing work and home — are breeding guilt and anxiety, leading some moms and dads to look for new ways to relax without the woolly-headed side effects of alcohol or medication.
Enter cannabidiol, or CBD, a chemical found in hemp and marijuana. Although the science is far from conclusive, it has been marketed as a cure-all for problems as varied as anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation and sleep disturbances. But unlike THC, another chemical found in cannabis, it doesn’t make users high and, according to the World Health Organization, it does not appear to be addictive.
“It definitely helps when your kid punches you in the face,” said Fritz Hubig, 45, a real estate broker in Washington, D.C., and the father of a 2-year-old. “If I did not embrace meditation and CBD, I’m not sure where I’d be.”  (MORE)

Can CBD Help Treat Depression?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a natural compound that has gained popularity in recent years, thanks in part to a growing body of research into its potential health benefits, which may include treating depression. The initial results of some studies into CBD and depression look promising.
CBD is one of over 100 compounds called cannabinoids, which are found in the plant Cannabis sativa.
While CBD is similar to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the two compounds act differently in the body. THC is responsible for the feelings of euphoria, or the "high," that a person experiences while using cannabis.
CBD does not have these effects on the body — it does not cause a high or feelings of euphoria.
In this article, learn about the potential for CBD to help relieve the symptoms of depression. CBD may not be right for everyone, and there are some other things to consider before using CBD treatment for any condition. (MORE)

The Differences Between Hemp Seed Oil and Hemp CBD Oil

With the recent buzz around legal hemp, the wellness market has been flooded with goods like “hemp seed oil” and other hemp products that don’t contain CBD. What specifically are the benefits of these products and how are they used?
According to Joy Beckerman, principal at consulting firm HempAce International, these hemp seed oil and hemp-derived CBD products are completely different and have little to do with each other. “What we have here is hemp seed oil and hemp extract, which people often mistakenly call 'hemp oil,’” she says.
Hemp seed oil and hemp extract are also processed differently. Hemp seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant similar to canola, sunflower, or olive oil. Meanwhile, hemp extract, which contains CBD, is extracted from the flowering buds, resin and leaves of the hemp plant, via C02, ethanol, or industrial solvents.  (MORE)

CBD: 6 Key Questions Answered About The Marijuana Extract

With CBD showing up everywhere, U.S. regulators announced Tuesday they are exploring ways the marijuana extract could be used legally in foods, dietary supplements and cosmetics. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said it will hold a public hearing May 31 to gather more information on the science, manufacturing and sale of cannabis compounds such as CBD.
In the meantime, it issued more warning letters to companies for making unapproved health claims about CBD products. Products containing CBD are already in stores and sold online, so it's easy to believe there must be something special about the ingredient. But the claims are largely unproven, and quality control standards don't exist.
Here's a look at what we know as U.S. regulators work out what will and won't be allowed: (MORE)
